Building and assigning routes

Use the Planning workspace to create route drafts, assign drivers and vehicles, and send routes to the driver app.

Planning workspace

Open Planning (Dispatch) and choose a service date. You’ll see unassigned orders and, if you have them, existing route drafts. The map shows depot and stop locations.

Building route drafts

Use Build drafts to create one or more route drafts from unassigned orders. The system suggests stop order and estimated cost. You can run Optimise to improve order (time windows, capacity, cost); the optimiser explains proposed changes and only applies when you confirm.

Assigning drivers and vehicles

For each draft, assign a driver and vehicle. Drivers must exist in your fleet (add them under Drivers). Assignments determine who sees the route in the driver app and which vehicle is used for cost and capacity.

Sending to drivers

When drafts are ready, confirm or publish so drivers see their routes in the mobile interface. They can then navigate, mark arrivals, and capture proof of delivery. You get tracking links and an audit trail.

For how optimisation works (constraints, scoring), see Routing optimisation. For the driver experience, see Driver app.
